Diagnosed with spinal cancer

found ount on friday that i have spinal cancer called Chordoma its tumers on my spine from what the dr have told me it aint looking good as since its on my spine. Chordomas are relatively radioresistant, requiring high doses of radiation to be controlled. The proximity of chordomas to vital neurological structures such as nerves limits the dose of radiation that can safely be delivered. Surgery is the best treatment for chordomas, but in many cases it can be difficult to perform because of important structures near the tumor.

:unskkkk:went to dr's today an dr's said that there's nothing they can do medically but they can try to make me comfortable as the chemotherapy isn't working and they can't remove the tumers because of were there at on my spine.

A hospice, is where they send patients who are terminally ( fatal) ill, and no way of getting better. They keep you as comfortable as possible and toward the end, they practically give you whatever you want, e.g. loads of pain killers, etc., to where you not only aren't hurting, but you are feeling good. They give you counseling along the way and it's kind of a package deal, because they prepare you and your family for it mentally and emotionally ( counseling for all of you) and prepare YOU physically ( with the drugs, pain killers, etc.)....that's the Reader's Digest version of what goes on............I just prayed over you again! thanks brother Tennessee44 the dr said something bout setting me up with hospice or at less a homecare nurse that will ome out twice aweek . he didn't like my answer when i told him that he could stick all of this homecare talk back up his rear end. that i was a fighter and i was going to beat this but as he said he's the 3rd dr that has told me that i'm in stage four with this. i dont see how he's wrong but i told him that i'm not the type of person who will just lay down and give up . but as i get weaker by the day and stuggle with the stupid va redtape to see ive i got this while i was in the army as i have been i pain since i was in the army. but as soon as you say something about how this could be the result of some deployment that i was on the army starts closeing doors left and right
